Amazing gRace Day 4

This morning was a slow morning since we didn't need to be to our service project till later in the day.  I accidentally read my own schedule wrong and told the groups that they needed to be to Northwest Harvest at noon.  They actually were supposed to leave at noon because we weren't working until 1pm.  It turned out fine and we just hung around outside.  The boys had some fun jumping of concrete blocks while the girls sat and watched.

Today we worked at the Northwest Harvest Warehouse packaging frozen corn.  We had a lot of fun and were able to package over 7000 lbs of frozen corn that will be sent out to over 300 food banks around the state.  we learned that the majority of people who are served by food banks are youth and elderly.  Northwest Harvest also said that their purchasing power is four times what our is and that they can feed a family of 3 a complete meal for 67 cents.  I had taken a bunch of great pictures of the youth filling bags standing around a pile of corn but for some reason my memory card is has decided to stop working.  If I can figure it out I will post pictures at a later time.

When we finished up at Northwest Harvest the teams were back on the road again.  This time to Wenatchee.  Each team received a different route.  They all were instructed to take a picture at the summit and take another crazy picture somewhere else.

After arriving in Wenatchee the girls decided to go for a hike up Saddle Rock while the boys stayed back and played some basketball.  I also took a ton of pictures on the hike but am unable to retrieve them and so I will just show you a picture of Saddle Rock so you can see exactly where the hike was.

We were all extremely tired this evening after a long day are looking forward to another day of service tomorrow.

We all experienced God grace today in many ways.  How have you experienced God's grace lately?
